Commander. Carrier Group Seven 
(COMCARGRU-7), which operated in 
the Tonkin Gulf during the Vietnam War. 
Patch measures 4-3/4" in diameter 
and is in excellent condition, never been used.

for Heavy Reconnaissance Attack Squadron 
14 (RVAH-14). Probably operated with 
RA-5C Vigilante aircraft aboard the larger
carriers. Patch measures 4-1/2" at the widest 
point. Excellent condition, never been used.

aircraft carrierUSS Hancock (CVA-19). 
Parallelogram patch measuring 5-1/2" wide 
and 2-1/2" tall. Excellent condition, never

Attack Squadron 82 (ATKRON-82). Large patch 
measuring 5-1/2" at the widest point. Excellent 
condition, never been used. Has "Ace Novelty" 
sticker on the back from P. O. Box 1374,

(CVA-63) homeported out of San Diego, 
California. This is a large patch measuring

for VF-211. Squadron flew F-8 Crusaders 
and served aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard
(CVA-31) in the mid-sixties when most of the 
ship's 17 MiG kills were accounted for. Patch

Mayport, Florida, this Essex-class carrier 
made her last cruise in the West Pacific in 
1970 and then was decommissioned in 
Philadelphia Navy Yard, where she spent 
many years in mothballs.

a Midway-class carrier, new-made.

ported in Japan in the early 1970s to the 
end of the Vietnam War. Embarked CVW-5. 
This aircraft carrier is now docked in
downtown San Diego as a museum.

Part of Carrier Air Wing 5 and embarked
aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard(CVA-31) 
on her 1969 and 1970 cruises to Vietnam.

Corsair IIs in 1971. New-made patch.

in 1971 and came back as an F/A-18

Located at NATC in Patuxent River, Maryland, 
home of the test pilot school. This command 
tests attack aircraft before their acceptance
by the fleet. New-made.

AEWRON-13. This squadron flew the
Constellations between Argentia, 
Newfoundland and the Azores during the 
late 50s and early 60s as radar picket 
planes to detect Russian missiles before the 
BMEWS radar network was built in Thule, 
Greenland. My father was in this squadron
in 1959-60 at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. 
I had a batch of 10 of these made in Japan via 
George Petersen.
