K.C.: 31 October 1944 as Captain of U-737
Service: Brasack served with the Luftwaffe
from 1939 to 1942 before he took command
of U-737 on 30 January 1943, succeeding
Leutnant zur See Poeschel, who had commissioned
the submarine. He commanded a successful
wolf pack attacking convoys to Murmansk.
His last service position was attached to the 25th
U-Boat Flotilla.
